About BE-GSO

The School of Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health and offers a research-oriented opportunity for faculty, and a valuable professional experience for students. Since 1985, the school has grown into a unique partnership between the New York State Dept. of Health, the Ordway Research Institute, Albany Medical College and the University at Albany. Over 400 students from a wide variety of academic, racial, cultural and ethnic backgrounds are enrolled in academic programs at the School of Public Health.

The BE GSO started in 2009, as a means to unite students in the various programs and provide continued comoraderie to those who have matriculated out of coursework. It is an organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of the education at UAlbany and supporting students in the course of their graduate experience.
